“Telematics is the lifeblood of data-trails in the trucking industry. As our organization dives deep into data models based on telematics data, having an expert in this field will help us understand the outcome of market-wide economic events.” Craig Fuller, CEO of FreightWaves stated.

FreightWaves is building market-wide economic models using aggregated data-sets to understand and analyze the health of the freight economy. To date, the company has partnered with accumulated data-sets that represent hundreds of billions of dollars in freight transactions. The information is then modeled into aggregated indices that provide a near-time map of the market and be used to create actionable outcomes for participants.

As the founding sponsor organization behind BiTA (Blockchain in Transport Alliance), FreightWaves building a panel of experts that can work with the most important technology and logistics companies in the space to construct standards and encourage commercial outcomes.

“We believe that telematics data will be one of the most important data-sets in a blockchain-enabled freight market. Whether we are talking providence of freight, driver identification and records, or smart-contracts- it starts and ends with location information that originates from the assets.” Fuller stated.
