Webinar: Facility Transparency for Improved Driver Experiences
Wednesday, November 20, 2019
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
A great deal of the driver experience takes place at facilities, where drivers are responsible for shipment pick-ups and drop-offs, and a number of factors can affect the quality and amount of time they spend there. In fact, a study by Zipline Logistics reports that 80 percent of carrier respondents refused to take loads from certain facilities due to factors like inflexible appointment hours and lengthy detention times, which the US Department of Transportation estimates costs truckers a total of $1.1 to $1.3 billion in earnings each year.
To share how companies can gain greater transparency around the experience at these facilities, FreightWaves and Uber Freight are partnering for an hour-long webinar on Wednesday, November 20 at 2pm ET. During this session, Sameer Dohadwala, Head of Central Operations at Uber Freight, will be sharing how Uber Freight is helping carriers select the right loads for their needs based on facility insights and reviews. We will explore:
• How shippers can view data on their facilities and loads
• How greater collaboration in this area can help to create facility improvement across the industry
• A case study on how one shipper has used facility ratings data to improve operations for drivers (and the results)
