Tuesday brings a new format to the Waves events. We lead off with a Keynote from Michael Lewis, the award-winning author. Then, we begin a series of short-form talks that are limited to  25-minutes. We call this format "WavesTalks." This new and exclusive Waves format will give leading visionaries a chance to make a case for the future of our industry in 2018, 2019 and beyond.

WavesTalks are presentations by industry experts and thought leaders highlighting major subjects that create market volatility and changes in the freight markets. Each Waves talk is delivered with a focus on current trends, near-term outlook (2019) and beyond (5+ years).

Hear perspectives on how technology changes and market developments will impact the freight markets:

  • Consumer retail trends and final mile

  • Enterprise truckload

  • Freight brokerage

  • Agriculture

  • Automobiles/autonomous

  • Labor shortages (drivers, warehouse workers)

  • Global trade policy

  • Domestic energy production

  • Demographic shifts and population

  • Warehousing and final mile delivery

Each session is limited to 25 minutes, with up to three experts on the stage. One expert will over the current state of things; one will cover the outlook into 2019; and one will project the long-term future.
