ONE20, the free membership site for truck drivers, has been building out its platform with solutions for drivers and the latest are a new opportunity for insurance coverage and aggressive fuel discount program.

The ONE20 Fuel Program could save truck drivers thousands of dollars per year with fuel discounts that approach 55 cents per gallon at some locations. More than 2,000 retail locations will participate in the program, including the “big three” locations, Christen Schenk, CEO, told FreightWaves.

The ONE20 Fuel Card with have no fee, no account management fee, lower in-network fees and higher in-network discounts. There are also no volume requirements. The only stipulation is you must be a member of the ONE20 community, which is free to join.

“These are really aggressive discounts,” Schenk said. “But rather than just 1 provider, it’s everybody.”

All ONE20 members qualify for the ONE20 Fuel Program, which has two parts. There will be a prepaid option with no credit check, as well as the option to convert to credit upon approval. Members can sign up at

The program will go live in the second quarter.

On the health and wellness side, ONE20 has partnered with MDLive to offer virtual health care for less than $10 per month.

The ONE20 MDLive plan details include:

● $9.95 monthly subscription with unlimited use (normally $59 per visit)

● No waiting period for ONE20 Members – use MDLIVE immediately

● No co-pays, deductibles or messy insurance claims

● Unlimited use for ONE20 members and primary family members – no extra costs to add dependents

● Easy prescriptions or refills at 60,000 pharmacies

● Convenient care on the road when drivers need it most – 24/7/365

According to Schenk, more than half of American truck drivers do not have health insurance. That means when they get sick, they are heading to clinics or hospital emergency rooms and being stuck with expensive doctor’s bills. This new program will give them the opportunity to get a low-cost, virtual health diagnosis and potentially avoid that more costly clinic visit.

“If 52% of American truck drivers don’t have insurance, then I’d say we’ve failed somewhere,” Schenk said. “We wanted to find a way for drivers to find affordable health care.”

The program also provides access to discounted prescriptions and provides ONE20 members access to board-certified physicians around the clock. Drivers who sign up get unlimited doctors’ visits by telephone, email, web chat or secure video.

The $9.95 monthly fee also offers access to additional health insurance plans through the ONE20 Insurance Marketplace. These plans, at additional cost, offer medical, dental, vision, life, prescription drug discount cards and occupational/accidental coverage. ONE20 members can browse and select from a variety of different plans – varying by state – with competitive rates, valuable benefits and flexible coverage options.

“Our business exists for the sole reason of helping the American trucker. We’re going to continue to develop and deliver new, valuable benefits and make them available to our members,” Schenk said. “For years, we’ve heard from drivers that access to affordable health care is among their greatest concerns. We’re now addressing that challenge head-on and giving drivers more flexible, cost-effective options.”

MDLIVE offers virtual care for medical, dermatological and behavioral health conditions. The company provides consumers, health plans, health systems and self-insured employers with 24/7/365 access to its network of board-certified doctors and licensed therapists via secure online video, and phone through the MDLIVE service and technology platform.
