Survey respondents expect pick-up in three months

The Confederation of British Industry has written to Tory leadership candidates warning them of the damaging consequences of a no deal Brexit.

The Speaker of the House of Commons has potentially thrown a spanner into Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit works after ruling that the Government cannot return with the same bill or motion to Parliament twice, scuppering any further votes on her deal.

The UK Parliament has voted to reject a no deal Brexit, but business leaders have criticised the Government’s announcement for tariffs on trade if a Britain leaves without an agreement.
