Scheduling Standards Consortium

Uber Freight plans to make its API publicly available for scheduling in the second half of the year.

The SSC’s newly released API technical standard is available on GitHub.

The collaboration among Convoy, J.B. Hunt, Uber Freight and others to use technology to streamline scheduling at the dock level is proceeding as planned, according to company leaders at FreightWaves’ Future of Supply Chain conference in Cleveland.

Uber Freight, Convoy and J.B. Hunt formed the Scheduling Standards Consortium in December to standardize trade data and synthesize scheduling technology.

Convoy, J.B. Hunt and Uber Freight last week announced that they have partnered to create the Scheduling Standards Consortium as a new standard for full truckload freight employment scheduling.

“Scheduling appointments at facilities is one of the most common activities in trucking, but it is also one of the most fragmented and offline,” said Dan Lewis, co-founder and CEO of Convoy.
