TCA’s Truckload Academy launches new, virtual online course

The Truckload Carriers Association, in conjunction with the TCA Profitability Program (TPP), offers a new, virtual, interactive learning experience available to all professionals in the trucking industry.

The Truckload Live Distance Learning model offers a fresh perspective, one which includes facilitation from instructional design experts and a collaborative online classroom.

Participants will engage in insightful conversations with those who share similar operational challenges.

Deep Dive Session #1, Compensation 101, will cover the following:

Session Description: Compensation plans play a crucial role in improving your overall business performance, productivity, sales, and customer satisfaction. Join TCA for a 90-minute online course designed to align a compensation plan with your business objectives and company strategy.

This online course will guide you through:

— Setting company strategy;

— Determining pay philosophy;

— Determining critical key performance indicators (KPIs);

— Evaluating roles and the alignment to KPIs; and

— Establishing a process for design and provide an overview of steps for creating an effective compensation plan

Chris Henry

Chris Henry has spent his entire 20-year career in transportation. In 2014, he founded the online motor carrier benchmarking service StakUp. As a result of a partnership with the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) in 2015, StakUp was rebranded as inGauge and Henry became the program manager for the TCA Profitability Program (TPP), an exclusive benchmarking initiative that includes more than 230 motor carrier participants throughout North America. Since joining the program, participation in TPP has grown over 300%. In June 2019, StakUp was acquired by FreightWaves and Henry became its vice president of carrier profitability, in addition to his role with TPP. Henry earned an MBA from the University of Massachusetts and a bachelor of commerce degree from Nipissing University.
