Panalpina on Friday made two key appointments in its global executive team, including naming Robert Erni as the new group chief financial officer.
The other major appointment was Ferdinand Kurt, who will become regional chief executive officer for the Americas region.
Erni comes from Kuehne + Nagel, where he spent the last 19 years and was most recently head of corporate controlling. Prior to that, he was head of corporate accounting and treasury. Erni also had postings in Hong Kong, India, Argentina, and the United States.
Current CFO Marco Gadola will become regional CEO Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.
Kurt also comes from Kuehne + Nagel, where he was most recently president and CEO of South and Central America. Before that, he served as K+N’s CEO for Canada and managing director for Mexico.
Prior to joining Kuehne + Nagel, Kurt worked for Panalpina for 10 years in positions in the United States and UK.
