Here’s some pure joy for you. Joe our mailman. A ray of sunshine and a super USPS employee. Years ago Joe noticed I was shipping a lot of packages Fedex. He asked me why I didn’t ship USPS and pushed me to compare the rates. Hustler! He was right! . . I tell Joe I appreciate him often, that his advice saved our small business money, thankful he puts up with my yappy dog and handles my packages coming and going with care. Let’s remember to give love to all the fine folks like Joe who are hustling our packages all around town. This time of year has to be extra bonkers for them.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . . #usps #weareinthistogether

As a manager of 72 people & four different facilities, and cover one whole zip code of deliveries in San Fransisco Ca, I learned patience & how to deal with may different people and in many different ways, and not everything needs a reaction, I treat every single employee with dignity & respect and talk to everyone at an equal level, repetitively telling them great job everyone and I appreciate their hard work, believe it or not it goes a long way! Guy drives up… “Not done yet”? . Umm…I’m standing here with the boxes open and putting mail in them… . No…I’m not fucking done. In fact, just getting started. . Guy: *stands there quietly for a minute “Oh” . People…please, if your mailman is busting his ass delivering your mail, stop asking him stupid questions…were already disgruntled, overwhelmed right now during the holidays, and really not in the mood for stupid questions,etc. . DON’T: ?️ask if hes/shes done (if you see us, we are not done. When you dont see us, we’re done) . ?️stand there staring at us thinking we will work faster. We won’t…in fact, we’ll most likely go slower. Oh look, break time?? . ?️ask if we have anything for you. We are handling hundreds of names. If we have something for you..itll be in your box, a parcel locker or at your door. . ?️stop parking in front of your mailbox . ?️don’t shoot us, we’re just the messengers. I dont actually work for the IRS, Mortgage company, credit card company, etc. . DO: ?️For the love of god… pick up your fucking mail and get your parcels out of parcel lockers!! We need the space!! . ?️be patient, it’ll get there.
