Have you mailed a gift this festive season? Close to 3 billion pieces of first-class mail are expected to be delivered by the US Postal Service during their busiest week of the year. As the countdown to Christmas enters its final week, mail handlers, like Nikeisha Mitchell at the Royal Palm Processing and Distribution Center in #Florida, sort through millions of packages to ensure proper delivery. On an average day, the postal service processes pieces of mail at an average rate of 5,711 pieces per second.
