CBP looks to increase ranks in New England

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is actively recruiting officers for its port locations in Boston and northern border crossings in Vermont and Maine.    U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is actively recruiting officers for its port locations in Boston and northern border crossings in New England, according to a statement from the agency.
   In addition to Boston, other locations in New England with open positions include Calais, Coburn Gore, Houlton and Jackman, Maine; and Beecher Falls, Derby Line and Norton, Vt.
   “Many of these locations also offer recruitment incentives,” CBP said.
   The uniformed CBP officer positions are full-time, require regular qualification and carrying of a firearm. Training is conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Ga.
