Aljex integrates DAT Direct into software

   Aljex Software has integrated TransCore’s DAT Direct into its transportation management system. 
   Aljex customers can now access DAT capabilities directly from Aljex without opening a second application or window, the Middlesex, N.J.-based company said. DAT data can also populate Aljex’s screens and enhance the time-savings of Aljex’s SmartSearch.
   Integration with DAT Direct also gives Aljex customers instant access to the DAT load board network, contract and spot market rates, and carrier validation services.
   With this integration, live DAT trucks show up in SmartSearch, Aljex Chief Executive Officer Tom Heine said. SmartSearch automatically displays prior loads from a given location or shipper. SmartSearch can also offer current loads through email to approved carriers and book loads by email as the broker works on other business.
   Aljex provides hosted management software to freight brokers, third party logistics service providers, and carriers.
