Citing a Korean regulatory filing from earlier this week, Bloomberg said Daewoo has snagged an order worth 481.2 billion won ($424 million.)
Dow Jones, quoting unnamed sources, said the ships are likely to be owned by Hong Kong Asset Managment and operated by Mediterranean Shipping Co.
Maersk said Daewoo delivered the first of its “Triple E” ships, the 18,270 -EU Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller on July 2, and the ship is scheduled to start its first voyage next week, departing Busan July 16, arriving in Rotterdam Aug. 16. – Chris Dupin
