Mainfreight expands U.S. footprint

As part of its ongoing expansion in North America, Mainfreight has recently added two new warehouses at Newark, N.J. and Dallas.    As part of its ongoing expansion in North America, Mainfreight has recently added two new warehouses at Newark, N.J. and Dallas. 
   The Newark facility measures 135,000 square feet, while the Dallas warehouse is 129,000 square feet, the Auckland, New Zealand-based company said.  
   Mainfreight’s U.S. logistics network also includes warehouses in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta. The warehouse in Los Angeles is 183,000 square feet, Atlanta is 50,000 square feet, and Chicago is 77,000 square feet. 
   “We’re intensifying our North American and global network capabilities and have aggressive growth targets at Mainfreight to ensure we’re well-positioned to help our customers expand their businesses,” said René van Houtum, vice president logistics of Mainfreight, in a statement.
   Started in 1978, Mainfreight offers ocean, air, road transport, and logistics services. The company has more than 240 branch locations across Australasia, Europe, Asia, Chile, Canada, Mexico and the United States. It entered the U.S. market in 2007.
