He succeeds Kenny Gill, who has resigned from the company.
In his new role, Dreyfus (pictured above left) has management responsibility for all Matson operations in Alaska, including terminal operations, customer service, sales and financial performance of the company’s terminals in Anchorage, Kodiak and Dutch Harbor.
Dreyfus joined Matson in 1993 after six years with Sea-Land and positions in Guam, the Philippines, Thailand and Tacoma. For the past two years, he has served as Matson’s vice president of equipment and purchasing.
Rocketail LLC, a maker of aerodynamic tail systems for semi-trailers headquartered in San Diego, announced that G. Bren Marshell has joined the company as vice president of sales.
Marshell (pictured above center) joins Rocketail after nearly 10 years with four manufacturers of aerodynamic devices for tractors and trailers. He has 34 years of transportation industry experience and relationships with fleets across the United States and Canada.
Hong Kong-based Tigers has added an international sales team as it continues to expand globally. The new team covers Asia-Pacific, South Africa, Europe and North America with the aim of growing Tigers’ global footprint and serving the e-commerce market.
The team will be based at locations in Melbourne in Australia, Johannesburg in South Africa, Geneva in Switzerland and Chicago in the United States.
Christian Bonnet, regional director for global sales, is based in Geneva and specializes in fashion and apparel. Sean Gothe, general manager of sales, is based in Johannesburg and will focus on growth in sub-Saharan Africa. Paul Huang (pictured above right), regional sales director for Asia-Pacific, is based in Melbourne and has extensive experience in international freight management and e-commerce, having previously run Tigers’ China organization. Amber Braband, vice president of growth, is based in Chicago and will focus on the Americas region.
The Duluth Seaway Port Authority has hired Jayson Hron as director of communications and marketing to replace Adele Yorde, who is retiring as PR director on Friday.
Since 2013, Hron had been the communications manager for USA Hockey in Colorado Springs, Colo. For eight years prior to that, he led communications efforts as senior public relations specialist for the ING Group in St. Cloud, Minn. After starting his career as a sportswriter, editor and page designer with Murphy McGinnis Newspapers, Hron served as communications director for the United States Hockey League and later as assistant director of public relations in the athletics department at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
