“Now shippers and software providers for the shipping industry can quickly and economically embed INTTRA’s capabilities to extend and enhance their own shipping solutions,” the company said.
Additionally, the company announced the availability of INTTRA Booking through this new architecture, which allows users of the INTTRA network to access the full range of application features, including initiating, amending, canceling and tracking ocean bookings, at a fraction of the time and cost of developing a full-scale booking application themselves.
“With more than a decade of experience delivering the most-used booking application, it was a natural next step for INTTRA to develop an application delivery platform for the industry,” said Ivan Latanision, senior vice president of INTTRA’s product management. “More than 9.25 million bookings were placed through INTTRA over the last year alone, so it made sense for us to create a mechanism for our customers to leverage these applications in their existing environments.”
This is the second in a series of releases that allows shippers to deliver shipping transaction capabilities as well as full integration with the INTTRA network to transact with more than 40 carriers and non-vessel-operating common carriers. Last month, INTTRA announced the ability to embed its OceanSchedules solution through the Application Delivery Platform, giving shippers access to more than 7 million global schedules from 31 carriers.
