Executive Moves: Port of Seattle, Port of Galveston and Bourque Logistics

The Port of Seattle names executive director; Port of Galveston appoints director of administration; and Bourque Logistics hires regional vice president of sales.    The Port of Seattle has hired retired Coast Guard Rear Adm. Stephen P. Metruck to serve as executive director, effective Feb. 1, 2018. Metruck, who was most recently the Coast Guard’s commander of the Mid-Atlantic region, brings 34 years of executive experience in maritime, security and financial leadership to his new role. With an annual salary of $350,000, he will oversee the port’s Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, two cruise ship terminals, Fishermen’s Terminal—home of the North Pacific fishing fleet, one grain terminal, a public cargo terminal, four public marinas, and other real estate.

   The Port of Galveston in Texas has picked Laura C. Camcioglu to serve as director of administration. She will be responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of the port, including human resources, procurement, general administration, information systems and risk and safety activities. She has served in various capacities for the City of Houston and was most recently assistant manager for the Christian Community Service Center.

   The Woodlands, Texas-based Bourque Logistics, a rail transportation technology provider, has appointed Joel Christensen regional vice president of sales. Christensen will address operational requirements of rail shippers and automating integration between rail shippers and their railroads. He joins Bourque Logistics with 25 years of rail technology experience and was most recently with GE Transportation.
