FMC reviews 16 OTI license applications

The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 16 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.    The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has received 16 ocean transportation intermediary (OTI) license applications and changes for review.
   The FMC received a non-vessel-operating common carrier license application from Summer Bee Logistics, Burlingame, Calif. (Flora Xie, director).
   The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Gebruder Weiss, Schaumburg, Ill. (Daniela Hendricks, chief executive officer); Omega Customs Brokers, Miami (Ralph Ronderos, president); Pinkcity Transocean, Fayetteville, Ga. (Martha T. Ensley, vice president); Polaris Development Corp., Elkridge, Md. (Mary E. Mullen, vice president); Rapid Tow, Miami (Gerardo M. Dorta Lozada, manager); Riverscape Forwarding, Portland, Ore. (Charlene Wagner, secretary); and Terra Global Logistics Corp., Pinecrest, Fla. (Patricia Guzman, vice president).
   The FMC also received an ocean freight forwarder license application from Bestway International, Kansas City, Mo. (Jay R. Devers, vice president).
   In addition, the agency received license applications for changes to qualifying individuals from Kokusai Soko America, Los Angeles (Yoshimitsu Saito, president); Latin Gate Customs Brokers, Miami (Nilda Sierra, president); Mersant International Ltd., Jamaica, N.Y. (Charles M. Santarelli, vice president); and New Transport USA, Miami (Jorge Samame, manager); for a business structure change to Manzanares Enterprises from Amadeo Manzanares, Gretna, La. (Elieth Rivera, managing member); and for name changes to United Horn Shipping from Sheba, Alexandria, Va. (Yoseph T. Woldesemait, member); and TWL Express Services (USA) from Yuexin Global Logistics (USA) Co., South El Monte, Calif. (Allen Tran, director).

Lists of licensed OTIs (applications approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) – both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs – are also available on the FMC website.
