   The Svenja was placed in the German registry on Sept. 22, and the carrier’s other ships—Trina, Anne-Sofie, Regine, Maria, and Wiebke—are expected to follow shortly.
   “It was a logical consequence: a German family-owned business with German-built vessels, operated by many German officers, and now provided by all the advantages of a German flag,” said SAL CEO Toshio Yamazaki.
   SAL, which is a member of the Harren & Partner Group, has been working the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for Commercial Transport, Postal Logistics and Telecommunications, as well as classification society DSV, on reflagging its vessels.
