Based in Anchorage, her new role will be overseeing the sales and marketing department of Carlile, TOTE Logistics, and Spectrum. Carlile, one of Alaska’s largest trucking companies, was acquired by Saltchuk earlier this year.
Geoffrey Hawtrey has accepted the position of vice president for support services with TOTE Logistics. He will work with the Carlile, TOTE Logistics, and Spectrum IT departments to develop and implement strategies. He will be based in Federal Way, Wash.
TOTE Logistics named Jeff Palmer as controller. He will oversee the accounting and finance department, working with Judy Eckart, Carlile’s controller, to streamline processes, develop budgets, reduce expenses and keep revenue growing. He was most recently with Menlo and will relocate to Anchorage.
The company also appointed John Armstrong to vice president of logistics for Carlile Transportation Systems. He joined Carlile from sister company Alta Logistics, where he was the director of logistics. He and his team will continue to work out of the Tacoma, Wash. office.
In addition, Gene Carlson was named Carlile’s vice president of trucking operations. He was previously vice president of special projects for Carlile. In his new position, Carlson, based in Anchorage, will oversee the heavy haul, equipment repair and maintenance, line haul and bulk departments.
