G6 announces one of its services will temporarily drop Europe calls

A G6 Asia-U.S.-Europe pendulum service will turn around in New York.    Members of the G6 Alliance have announced an adjustment to one of the group’s Pacific Atlantic pendulum services in response to seasonal changes in market demand.
The Pacific Atlantic 2 (PA2) service will temporarily stop calling European ports, and it instead will turn around in the U.S. East Coast. The service portfolio between Asia and North America East Coast remains unchanged.
After the service adjustment, the port rotation of the PA2 service will be Kaohsiung – Busan – Kobe – Tokyo – Balboa – Panama – Colon Manzanillo – Miami – Jacksonville – Savannah – Charleston – New York – Norfolk – Charleston – Colon Manzanillo – Panama – Balboa – San Pedro – Oakland – Tokyo – Kobe – Kaohsiung.
   Schedule changes are as follows:
  • The last sailing of the PA2 service heading to Europe on the APL Egypt was scheduled to arrive in Kaohsiung on Nov. 16 and New York on Dec. 19.
  • The last sailing of the PA2 service from Europe on the APL Egypt is scheduled to arrive in Rotterdam Dec. 28 and New York on Jan. 10, 2015.
  • The first sailing of the adjusted PA2 service on the APL Garnet is scheduled to arrive in Kaohsiung on Nov. 23, Miami on Dec. 21, and New York on Dec. 26. This will also be first sailing of the adjusted PA2 service starting from New York as turn port.
