FMC reviews 14 OTI license applications

Filings come from California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, New York and Texas.    The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 14 ocean transportation intermediary (OTI) license applications and changes for review.
   The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Aroceano, Miami (Alex Perez, president), and Janro Shipping Corp., Springfield Gardens, N.Y. (Rohan Gilfillian, president).
   The agency also received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from AIC Logistics, Hawaiian Gardens, Calif. (Austin S. Chang, CEO); American Forwarding & Logistics, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Peter A. Bottino, CEO); Danube Logistics USA, Irving, Texas (Soon K. Choi, president); Deal Logistics USA Corp., Doral, Fla. (Ricardo De Souza Rama, vice president); Marex Services Group, Baton Rouge, La. (Zuzana Haider, vice president); and NTG Air & Ocean USA, Peachtree City, Ga. (Pamela A. Hughes, treasurer).
   In addition, the FMC received license applications for changes to a qualifying individual from Panalpina, Miami (Joshua Bowen, vice president); for license transfers to Daryl Flood International from Daryl Flood Warehouse & Movers, Coppell, Texas (J. Kelly O’Connor, vice president); YN Logistics from Innovation Shipping, El Monte, Calif. (Yolanda L. Nguyen, secretary); and Silken Logistics Corp., from Silken Fortress Corp., Los Angeles (Mario F. Chavarria, president); for the addition of trade name Gamma USA from Kompass Cargo, Doral, Fla. (Samir Assad, branch manager); and for a business structure change to Global Pro Logistics Inc. from Global Pro Logistics LLC, Gardena, Calif. (Emily Chen, president).

Lists of licensed OTIs (applications approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) — both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs — also are available on the FMC website.
