FMC reviews 25 OTI license applications

The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 25 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.    The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has received 25 ocean transportation intermediary (OTI) license applications and changes for review.
   The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from BP Ocean, Peapack, N.J. (Oscar Furfaro, member/manager); Famous Pacific Shipping USA, Springfield Gardens, N.Y. (Joy Fu, secretary); Pacific Freight Corp., Fullerton, Calif. (Young H. Kim, president); and United Global Services (LAX), El Monte, Calif. (Yat Wai “Jackson” Fong, president).
   The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Current Shipping International Corp., Newport Beach, Calif. (Mishell Sanchez, vice president); DOF Cargo, Miami (Rafael E. Garcia, president); DRT International Logistics, Kearny, N.J. (Xiao Tao Li, vice president); Integrity Global Logistics, Loganville, Ga. (Lawrence R. Arrington, president); Kase Logistics North America, Doral, Fla. (Juan C. Esquivel, member); Lansar Freight Shipping Corp., Bronx, N.Y. (Tania Dominguez, secretary); Nadex Auto Mart, Hyattsville, Md. (Nojimudeen O. Adeleke, president); Onboard Logistics USA, Miami (Pablo R. Varela, vice president); Ship Free Overseas, Houston (Sara El Sayed, manager/member); Top Express International Corp., Jamaica, N.Y. (Catherine Lee, president); and Uris Global, Norcross, Ga. (Jong Sup Yoon, member/manager).
   The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from Distra Activesea USA, Spring, Texas (Matias Markez, manager/member); Inter World Systems Cargo Corp., Doral, Fla. (Jose M. Blanco, president); Lighthouse Forwarding Corp., Doral, Fla. (Scarlett Chadwick-Collins, secretary); Majarocon Cargo Express, St. Louis (Jerome Majarocon, member/manager); Panacea Shipping Co., La Porte, Texas (Ziad Aly, president); and Quartz Logistics, City of Industry, Calif. (Robert Wu, chief executive officer).
   In addition, the agency received license applications for changes to qualifying individuals from Global Logistics Freight Solutions (USA), Lake Success, N.Y. (Raymond A. Balram, vice president); Metro Freight Services, Linden, N.J. (Jatin A. Mehta, secretary); Pacific Global Logistics, Auburn, Ala. (Kyung Hwan Roh, chief operating officer); and Paramount Transportation Logistics Services, Ft. Myers, Fla. (Julie A. Christenson, vice president of maritime operations).
