FMC reviews 15 OTI license applications

The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 15 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.    The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has received 15 ocean transportation intermediary (OTI) license applications and changes for review.
   The FMC received a non-vessel-operating common carrier license application from A-Plus African Food Distribution, Irvington, N.J. (Thomas Yeboah, member).
   The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from 12 to 12, Tamarac, Fla. (Paul A. Mullings, member); Air and Ship Cargo, Kendall Park, N.J. (Dilip Ram, vice president); East West Container Line, Corona, Calif. (Samantha Ye, president); Insular Cargo, Doral, Fla. (Margarita Fernandez, president); Navia USA, Doral, Fla. (David Martinez, manager); PGS USA, Metairie, La. (Silke Rech, customs compliance officer); Transocean Logistics, Dublin, Calif. (Jinbo Huang, member); and YOYO Global Freight US, New Brunswick, N.J. (Anni Skeete, vice president of export).
   The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from American Courier Express, Rockville, Md. (Roy K. Azima, member); and Jet Transport, Chicago (Jerry Trojanek, president).
   In addition, the agency received license applications for changes to qualifying individuals from All City Air and Ocean, Maywood, N.J. (Eng Szetho, vice president); Eagle Trans Shipping & Logistics, Hoboken, N.J. (Salith D. Nawanthuduwage, chief executive manager); Konoike Transport and Engineering (USA), Wilmington, Calif. (Miho Adamek, secretary); and Universal Freight Forwarders Ltd., Tukwila, Wash. (Thomas S. Kang, secretary).
   Persons knowing of any reason why an applicant should not receive an OTI license or amendment are urged to contact the FMC’s Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington, D.C. Lists of licensed OTIs (applications approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) – both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs – are also available on the FMC website.
