FMC reviews 29 OTI license applications

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 29 license applications and changes for review.
   The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from BL Worldwide Corp., Doral, Fla. (Maria J. Bembhy, president); Browman Freight Services, Markham, Canada (Philip Browman, president); Cesar Eddy Quinones, Secaucus, N.J. (Cesar E. Quinones, sole proprietor); DTI Group, Miami (Sebastian A. Detullio, president); Excom USA, Tamarac, Fla. (Maria J. Oliveria, president); Freightit, Miramar, Fla. (Peter M. Acham, president); and Global Express Forwarding, Norridge, Ill. (Michal Gaglewski, president).
   The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from A.G. Cargo Import, Houston (Justiniano Nunez, president); American Forwarding & Logistics, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. (Gabriele Awada, manager); Autolink Express, South El Monte, Calif. (Alex C. Huang, chief executive officer); Di Global Logistics, Miami (Johan Arenas, vice president); NMC Logistics Solutions, Doral, Fla. (Orlando Jimenez, president); Ship International, Santa Fe Springs, Calif. (Rigoberto S. Zavaleta, secretary); Triple Eagle Logistics, City of Industry, Calif. (Yao Wen Mai, vice president); Universal Shipping Lines, Tucker, Ga. (Nil A. Aryeetey, member); and Vision Shipping, Alexandria, Va. (Husam F. Atari, president).
   The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from Denizabel Shipping, Miami (Isabel Ramirez, president); F.M. Air, Medley, Fla. (Uilson Nacimento, vice president); Miami Warehouse Logistics, Miami (Alexis Roldos, president); ShemiTreans, Baltimore (Yashar Norhashemi, managing member); and Ship A Pallet, Houston (Don McSwain, manager).
   In addition, the agency received applications for a change to qualifying individuals from Art Van Lines USA, Secaucus, N.J. (Kazuhiko Kato, treasurer); Javelin Logistics Corp., Newark, Calif. (Susan M. Foster, director); JK International, Memphis, Tenn. (Linda Weddington, corporate secretary); Multimodal International Shipping, El Segundo, Calif. (Andrew Pearlstein, secretary); and OOCL Logistics (USA), New York (Richard L. Giovannone, president); and for trade name changes from Bay Logistics, Union City, Calif. (Han K. Lim, president) to Important Cargo Express Co.; Maritrans Shipping Ltd., Valley Stream, N.Y. (Michael De Filippis, president) to Cargotrans; and Rapidex USA, Somerset, N.J. (Mohamed Y. Ali, manager) to Compass Logistics International.
