Commerce to hire additional commercial service officers

   “Our foreign commercial service officers are a critical part of the department’s efforts to expand U.S. exports and attract foreign investment to the United States,” said Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker in a statement. “Each day, these commercial diplomats help American businesses navigate and break into overseas markets, ultimately strengthening the U.S. economy and creating jobs here at home.” 
   Commercial service officers help U.S. companies, especially small- and mid-sized firms, better compete in overseas markets. 
   Job applications will be accepted via USAJOBS.gov through Dec. 19. “The application is the first step in a process that generally occurs only once every two years,” the department said.
