Bay & Bay said the purchase will expand its tank division by 50 percent. J&C was formerly Bay & Bay’s main competitor in the Minnesota-Wisconsin market for hauling dry bulk commodities in the Midwest.
The acquisition increases Bay & Bay’s tank fleet to more than 150 trucks and its overall fleet to more than 500 trucks. Bay & Bay will keep J&C’s Baldwin headquarters and its staff in place.
