CKYHE Alliance reorganizes Asia-Europe services

The five carriers will change their service to and from North Europe and the Mediterranean by April.    The CKYHE Alliance, which includes container carriers COSCO, “K” Line, Yang Ming, Hanjin and Evergreen Line, is reorganizing its service network for the Asia-North Europe and Asia-Mediterranean trades.
   The CKYHE carriers said they will provide six services between Asia and North Europe (NE2/NE3/NE5-CEM/NE6/NE7/NE8-CES) and three between the Asia and Mediterranean services (MD1/MD2/ADR), with “optimum port coverage throughout Asia, North Europe, East Mediterranean, West Mediterranean and Adriatic region” starting in early April. 
   The carriers provided the following details on port rotations for their Asia-North Europe services:
  • NE2 – Nansha, Kaohsiung, Yantian, Singapore, Piraeus, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Hamburg, Antwerp, Piraeus, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Nansha. The service will use 10 14,000-TEU ships.
  • NE3 – Xingang, Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Shanghai, and Xingang. The service will use 11 13,000-TEU ships.
  • NE5 – Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Tanjung Pelepas, Kaohsiung, and Shanghai.The service will use 10 14,000-TEU ships.
  • NE6 – Qingdao, Kwangyang, Pusan, Shanghai, Yantian, Singapore, Algeciras, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Le Havre, Algeciras, Singapore, Yantian, and Qingdao. The service will use 11 13,000-TEU ships.
  • NE7 – Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Singapore, Piraeus, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Piraeus, and Ningbo. The service will use 10 14,000-TEU ships.
  • NE8 – Taipei, Ningbo, Shanghai, Shekou, Colombo, Felixstowe, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Le Havre, Colombo, and Taipei. The service will use 10 8,500-TEU ships.
   These are the rotations for the Asia-Mediterranean services:
  • MD1 pendulum service – Pusan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Nansha, Singapore, Piraeus, La Spezia, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Piraeus, Singapore, Vung Tau, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Pusan. The service will use 16 10,000-TEU ships.
  • MD2 – Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Kaohsiung, Yantian, Singapore, Port Said, Ashdod, Genoa, Barcelona, FOS, Port Said, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Xiamen.
The service will use 10 ships of 8,500 TEU capacity.
  • ADR – Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Taipei, Shekou, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Ashdod, Alexandra, Piraeus, Koper, Trieste, Piraeus, Jeddah, Colombo, Tanjung Pelepas, Shekou, Kaohsiung, and Qingdao. The service will use 10 8,500-TEU ships.
