FMC reviews 16 OTI license applications

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 16 ocean transportation intermediary (OTI) license applications and changes for review.
   The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Ace Global USA, Wood Dale, Ill. (Brittney Franzen, vice president), and EGL USA, Duluth, Ga. (Woo H. Byun, secretary).
   The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Capital Access Group, Addison, Ill. (Marzena L. Beltek, president); CSCL Global Limited, San Diego (Chang Liu, president); Day & Night Transport, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico (Fancisco Lamourt Rivera, president); and FADMO, Newark, N.J. (Abdullah Toure, member).
   The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from Compass Global Solutions, Beaverton, Ore. (Nathalee Larsen, manager), and Nina International Transport, Miami (Anielka Rubio, secretary).
   In addition, the agency received license applications for changes to qualifying individuals from Aapko Forwarders, Point Pleasant Beach, N.J. (Ellen Baran, vice president); Ambika Shipping Miami, Miami (Lisset Herrera Garcia, member); North American Cargo Solutions, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada (Jacob Mathew, vice president); Top Wise Logistics, Commerce, Calif. (Beata A. Przygoda, chief financial officer); and W.J. Byrnes and Co. of Los Angeles, El Segundo, Calif. (Pamela D. Ordaz, vice president); for name changes to Forex Cargo Inc. from Forex Cargo (CAL) Inc., Gardena, Calif. (Jaime P. Carino Jr., president); and SLI from Sealink International, Plano, Texas (Shaizad S. Shroff, president); and for the addition of trade name Paramount Transportation Systems from Interconex, Houston (Christian E. Meyer, president). 
   Persons knowing of any reason why an applicant should not receive an OTI license or amendment are urged to contact the FMC’s Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington, D.C. Lists of licensed OTIs (applications approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) — both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs — also are available on the FMC website.
