DSV offers intelligent supply chain design and execution

Modular logistics outsourcing solution heralded as “market-changing service.”

Imagine solutions that are updating themselves while in operation, constantly analyzing data to seek out the most effective solutions and to pre-empt any disruptions in the supply chains.
DSV said it can do that through its new modular logistics outsourcing solution. DSV said its modular approach allows it to tailor services to customers’ needs using cloud-based, state-of-the-art technology that supports supply chain design, implementation and management across all modes, geographies and currencies.
“Our decision to launch this service is a direct result of feedback obtained through industry research, market growth analysis and, most importantly, through direct feedback from our customers,” said DSV Group Chief Commercial Officer Rene Falch Olesen.
Falch Olesen said the goal is to enable companies to compete more effectively in the global market through intelligent supply chain design and execution. DSV Lead Logistics acts as a non-asset-based, neutral supply chain orchestrator of transportation services. It provides the intelligent design and relies on DSV services and the services of other transportation providers to perform the physical activities.
“We base the solution on an existing offering that we have in the U.S. predominately for the North American market,” Falch Olesen said. “We have combined our lead logistics skills and experience with a state-of-the-art IT solution enabling us to offer a market-changing service.”
