Rapid Response, empresa de transporte por carretera con sede en Missouri, ha sido vendida a sus empleados en el marco de un plan de propiedad de acciones para empleados (ESOP). La firma de banca de inversión ButcherJoseph & Co, que asesoró a Rapid Response en la transacción, anunció el cierre el viernes. 

Este transportador de 40 años de antigüedad está especializado en el transporte de cargas completas y fraccionadas, así como en la entrega a domicilio de electrodomésticos y muebles. Rapid Response también actúa como 3PL, ofreciendo acceso a miles de transportadores. 

La empresa cuenta entre sus clientes con Walmart, Dollar General y Whirlpool. 

“Nuestro negocio se basa en relaciones a largo plazo y un servicio excelente”, afirma Rick Palo, fundador y presidente de Rapid Response. “Creo que la transacción ESOP sólo ayudará a fortalecer nuestro compromiso con nuestros clientes”. 

Según los datos de la Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Rapid Response cuenta con 65 conductores y 69 unidades motrices. La nueva estructura, que entró en vigor a finales de año, significa que la empresa es ahora 100% propiedad de sus empleados. 

“A través de una venta ESOP apalancada, proporcionamos liquidez al vendedor, así como una oportunidad para que los empleados participen en el crecimiento futuro de la empresa”, dijo Alberto del Pilar, director gerente de ButcherJoseph.
