Alliance Air Services’ president to retire

Ward

   Tim Ward, longtime president of Alliance Air Services, said he will retire from Hillwood at the end of the year.
   Ward has overseen the development and management of Fort Worth Alliance Airport since its inception in 1989, when it became the world’s first industrial airport.
   Alliance Airport, developed in a public-private partnership between the Federal Aviation Administration, the City of Fort Worth and Hillwood Properties, a division of Hillwood, is the anchor of the company’s 17,000-acre AllianceTexas community in north Fort Worth. Ross Perot Jr., the son of former presidential candidate and Texas billionaire Ross Perot, is chairman of Hillwood Development Co.
   Hillwood Properties Senior Vice President Tom Harris, who joined the airport in 1990, will succeed Ward as president of Alliance Air Services.
   During his time at Hillwood, Ward managed over $200 million in public funding for the expansion of Alliance Airport and coordinated a complex reconstruction of air, rail and highway facilities as part of that project on behalf of the City of Fort Worth and the Alliance Airport expansion.
   Prior to joining Hillwood, Ward served four years as director of aviation for the City of Austin. He previously served 15 years with Wayne County, Michigan’s Department of Airports, where he was responsible for Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and Willow Run Airport.
