CaroTrans enters Philippines partnership

The NVOCC CaroTrans said it has entered into a strategic alliance with Multifreight Consolidator System, Inc. (MFCSI), an NVOCC in the Philippines market.
CaroTrans said the two companies “will offer fast, reliable, less-than-containerload (LCL) and full containerload (FCL) import and export cargo services between North America and the Philippines. A direct, weekly service to Manila departed Long Beach on May 24th with a transit  time of 22 days. A Manila to Los Angeles service with 17-day transit has also launched. The Los Angeles service offers intermodal connection to over 75 North American locations.”
Multifreight has offices in Cebu, Davao, Manila and all other major ports in the Philippines. Pre-carriage services are available to Manila from Davao and Cebu.
“We are pleased to partner with Multifreight Consolidator System, Inc., to grow our services to and from the Philippines. This collaboration provides the dedicated resources and expertise our customers are accustomed to,” Greg Howard, the global chief executive officer of CaroTrans, said in a statement.
Elaine Bautista, general manager of MFCSI, said the company “looks forward to further strengthening its U.S. market service network and expanding its consolidation base through consistent quality logistic services.” – Chris Dupin
