CaroTrans expands Central American presence

The non-vessel-operating common carrier entered into a partnership with Globelink Aeroceano in Costa Rica and Guatemala, and Sicarga in Panama.

Non-vessel-operating common carrier CaroTrans has strengthened its presence in Central America by entering into a partnership with Globelink Aeroceano in Costa Rica and Guatemala, and Sicarga in Panama.
Weekly U.S. export shipments move from CaroTrans’ Miami hub to Central America and the Caribbean Islands.
“We’re seeing an increase in shipments from the Panama hub to the Caribbean Islands due to the devastating hurricanes that passed through there last year,” said Kika Veiga, CaroTrans’ Latin America trade development director.
Both Globelink Aeroceano and Sicarga are part of the GlobeLink network. CaroTrans works closely with GlobeLink in other markets throughout the world, such as India and Malaysia.
CaroTrans said it’s also partnering with the Global Cargo Alliance to further strengthen its worldwide network.
