Chinese ship to use Northeast Passage

   China’s first merchant ship to sail from Asia to Europe via the Arctic Sea departed Dalian last week.
   The Website SinoShip News reports COSCO’s multi-purpose ship Yong Sheng, is scheduled to arrive in Rotterdam port on Sept. 11.
   The wire service AFP reported that according to Rosatomflot, a Russian operator of icebreakers, 46 ships used the so-called “Northeast Passage” across the top of Siberia, compared with four in 2010.
