Reliance Partners is offering cross-border motor carriers some food for thought.

The insurance agency invites all to attend its Lunch & Learn Seminar next Wednesday in Laredo, Texas, to gain insight on B-1 driver-specific violations and DataQ challenges.

“Reliance Partners’ Laredo, Texas, seminar will educate cross-border motor carriers on how to best leverage Mexican B-1 drivers while practicing top-tier safety and how to properly address incorrect violations,” said Mark Vickers, Reliance Partners’ executive vice president of international logistics.

Guest speakers will include Reliance Partners Vice Presidents of Safety Brian Runnels and Robert Kaferle, both well versed in DataQs and post-accident challenges

Topics of discussion will include:

  • Trucking insurance for fleets with B-1s.
  • Starting or optimizing your safety and risk management programs.
  • Shipper contract compliance.
  • Mexico cargo insurance.
  • Non-owned trailer liability.

“This information is specifically tailored for trucking organizations and should be understood by all brokerages and shippers that leverage their services,” Vickers said. “Carriers that implement these strategies can then get access to world-class insurance programs through Reliance Partners and are seen as ‘Carriers of Choice’ by the automotive industry.”

Attendees will also be the first to learn about the Laredo Motor Carriers Association’s (LMCA) formation of its first safety committee.

The seminar will take place at the Embassy Suites Hotel from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. CST. Those interested can register here.

Lunch is $10 for LMCA members and $20 for nonmembers.
