Day & Ross buys Pennsylvania trucking outfit

The McCain Foods subsidiary said the acquisition of A&S Kinard and Buckler Transport will propel it into the top 10 North American suppliers of dedicated truck services.

   Day & Ross, a Hartland, New Brunswick-based transportation company, has acquired the assets of York, Pa. trucking company A&S Kinard and Buckler Transport.
   Financial terms of the deal, as well as number of assets, were not disclosed.
   Day & Ross said the acquisition follows its 2017 purchase of REI Logistics & Korten Quality Systems of Michigan and will expand its North American dedicated truckload and specialized transport services.
   “This is a significant acquisition and puts Day & Ross into the top 10 suppliers of dedicated services in North America,” said Bill Doherty (pictured above), CEO of Day & Ross, in a statement.
   Day & Ross is part of the McCain Foods Group of Cos.
