Digital freight marketplace Emerge has unveiled immediate tender acceptance functionality to its marketplace, allowing carriers to immediately accept loads at a preset rate.

Book It Now eliminates the back-and-forth common in tender negotiations, providing the carrier with a streamlined process of accepting the freight it wants at the rate it wants. Immediate access to the rate confirmation and load details is given to the carrier, Emerge said.

“This feature is one of the major steps in Emerge’s product strategy of connecting shippers and carriers in real time through our Digital Freight Marketplace,” explained Kyle Jepson, vice president of technology. “When trying to secure loads for their available drivers, carriers need feedback in seconds, not minutes or hours. Our platform helps to improve the driver experience during these times when driver retention and satisfaction are top priorities for carriers.”

Book It Now is available to approved carriers within the Emerge Digital Freight Marketplace. According to Emerge, carriers will see an increase in available loads marked as Book It Now in the weeks ahead. Book It Now loads also qualify for Emerge’s Carrier Rewards program that gives carriers the opportunity to earn extra money by following carrier best practices and completing shipments on time.

Emerge’s Digital Freight Marketplace connects carriers directly to shippers. The company also offers Lane Alerts, which notify carriers of new shipments within their most-traveled lanes.

In February, Emerge closed a $20 million Series A financing round led by NewRoad Capital Partners and including Greycroft and 9Yards Capital among others.

Emerge’s marketplace allows shippers to put their vendors on the platform, which acts like a transportation management system, and connects that shippers’ private network to the larger marketplace.

Emerge was founded in 2018 by Michael Leto and his brother Andrew Leto.
