Evergreen, Mariana Express plan China-Malaysia service

Evergreen said it will partner with Mariana Express in launching a joint South China- East Malaysia.

Evergreen Line said it will partner with Mariana Express in launching a joint South China-East Malaysia (SEM) Service.
The SEM service will employ two ships, each with about 1,000 TEUs of capacity. The weekly service will have a port rotation of Shekou, Hong Kong, Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia), Muara (Brunei), Bintulu (Malaysia), and Shekou. The first ship in the service is expected to depart from Shekou on Sept. 10.
As part of its ongoing efforts to improve network connections in the region, Evergreen will also take space on Interasia lines’ Singapore-Yangon (Burma)-Malaysia (SYM) service based on a slot-swap arrangement. Providing Evergreen customers with an additional feeder connection to Yangon, the SYM loop will call at Singapore, Yangon, Port Klang, Yangon and back to Singapore.
