Executive Moves: CAGTC, Nordic Maritime Solutions

Officers are elected during Infrastructure Week and a strategic sales manager is hired.

The Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC) elected two men and re-elected four to its board of directors as it celebrated its 18th anniversary during Infrastructure Week.
Elected to the board were Darin Chidsey, chief operating officer for the Southern California Association of Governments, and John Murray, chief executive officer and port director for the Port Canaveral Port Authority.
Re-elected were Rick Cameron, deputy executive director of the Port of Long Beach; Paul Hubler, director of government and community relations for the Alameda-Corridor East Construction Project of the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments; Glenn Miles, executive director of the Kootenai Metropolitan Planning Organization; and Thomas Saunders, director of government affairs for Ports America.
Board member Paul Anderson, Port of Tampa Bay port director, was elected vice chairman; Cameron was elected treasurer; and Hubler, the former vice chairman, assumed the chairmanship.
“CAGTC’s leadership and membership continue to provide an important national voice advocating the freight network’s critical role supporting U.S. economic competitiveness in the global marketplace,” said Tim Lovain, who has served as chairman since 2016 and who will become immediate past chairman.
Hubler said, “CAGTC was a leading advocate for the $2 billion in annual federal funding authorized by Congress in the 2015 FAST Act for freight transportation infrastructure — the most significant new surface transportation program included in the act. The FAST Act expires next year and with renewed interest in an infrastructure bill this year, I look forward to continuing CAGTC’s successful advocacy in my role as chairman.
“We must work with Congress and the administration to ensure robust and necessary federal investment and policies are provided to strengthen our nationally and regionally significant trade gateways and corridors,” Hubler said.

Andrej Waltenburg (pictured above) has joined Nordic Maritime Solutions as strategic sales manager to implement and manage sales activities, identify new market opportunities and contribute to the company’s core business of customer service.
Waltenburg has more than 23 years of experience in sales and marketing and nearly nine years within the maritime industry providing business solutions to the offshore industry and shipping and oil companies.
He previously was the sales director at Risk Intelligence, a provider of maritime security risk assessment and planning systems.
Waltenburg will be based in a newly established Nordic Maritime Solutions office in Copenhagen, Denmark.
