Executive moves: DB Schenker Americas and Oregon Dairy Products Commission

DB Schenker has picked a new Americas CEO and former Port of Portland marketing manager moves over to Oregon’s dairy commission.

Philippe Gilbert has been appointed regional chief executive officer of DB Schenker Americas, effective March 1. He joined the company in March 2013 as regional director for Europe-West. Gilbert will take over the CEO role from Heiner Murmann, who is retiring but continuing his 20-year tenure with the company as a member of the Schenker AG global management board, responsible for the air and ocean freight business.

Josh Thomas has joined the Oregon Dairy Products Commission as senior director of communications. Jan. 19 was his last day as marketing and media relations manager at the Port of Portland.
