Executive Moves: From Air Partner to Vanguard

CEO, SVP, sales director and consultants appointed.

   Onno Meij has assumed the role of chief executive officer of Vanguard Logistics Services in Long Beach, Calif.
   The appointment took effect July 1, when Charlie Brennan retired as CEO.
   Meij has been in the industry since 1992 and has worked at various leading global logistics firms, including CEVA, TNT and, most recently, DB Schenker. He has served on Vanguard’s board for more than five years.

   CEVA Logistics has announced the appointment of Terry Carter to the newly created position of senior vice president of transportation for contract logistics.
   
Carter, who will be based in the United States, brings more than 25 years of experience in the logistics and transportation industry. This includes leading DHL’s U.S. operations for five years and serving for more than 20 years at FedEx in several senior leadership positions. In addition, he has held senior posts at Brown Integrated Logistics, Graebel Van Lines and World Wide Technology.

   Intermodal drayage technology solutions provider Draymaster Enterprise has hired Phil Dupuis as director of sales.
   Dupuis previously was the owner of Cartage Consulting LLC. Before that, he was a station manager for CEVA Logistics, U.S. vendor manager for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and corporate overland standards and governance manager at Panalpina.

   Baines Simmons, part of the training and consultancy division of global aviation services group Air Partner, has hired four consultants who will be based at its headquarters at Fairoaks Airport in England.
   Steve Harriss returns to Baines Simmons as a principal consultant. He previously consulted on safety programs from 2008 to 2015. More recently, Harriss was the head of safety for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Africa at the Bristow Group.
   Richard White has 40 years of experience in airworthiness and airline operations, beginning as an apprentice aircraft engineer in the British Army. He worked for the U.K. Civil Aviation Authority, the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority and, most recently, the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
   Nicola Steevenson served for 10 years in the RAF as a tornado navigator specializing in air defense. She also was the chief ground instructor for Flybe.
   Rowan Greenwood has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial helicopter operations as a pilot, instructor, examiner, inspector, manager, flight safety officer and regulator.
