Executive Moves: Greenbrier and American Airlines Cargo

Greenbrier Cos. elects retired Navy admiral to board, while American Airlines picks cargo manager for Germany and Switzerland.

The Greenbrier Cos. elected Ret. Navy Adm. Thomas B. Fargo to its board of directors. A 35-year military veteran, Fargo headed the U.S. Pacific Command from 2002 to 2005. He also serves as chairman of Huntington Ingalls Industries, America’s largest military shipbuilder, and on the boards of Hawaiian Electric Industries, Matson and the United States Automobile Association. Previously, he served on the boards of Northrop Grumman and Hawaiian Airlines.

Following the merger with US Airways, and the subsequent increase in the size of its European operations, American Airlines Cargo has appointed Gisela Schork to regional sales manager of cargo for Germany and Switzerland. Schork joined American in 1989 and has held a number of positions within the airline from inside sales through to cargo manager.
