Executive Moves: GSO, Paxxal, SeaCube

Swart tapped as president; Hunt named COO; and Tuthill hired as CCO.

   GSO, a wholly owned subsidiary of GLS U.S. Holding Company Inc. and a regional carrier for parcel and LTL freight delivery throughout the western United States, announced that it has appointed Randy Swart as company president.
   Swart, who has 30 years of industry experience, has served as regional director of sales and operations for Viking Freight; vice president of sales for UPS Freight; and most recently 10 years as chief operating officer for A. Duie Pyle.

   Paxxal Inc., a provider of shipping platforms, has announced the appointment of Ellwood P. Hunt III as chief operating officer effective Aug. 1. He will have global responsibility for manufacturing, logistics and operations.
   
Hunt, who has more than three decades of operational experience, most recently served as senior vice president of manufacturing and product development for IGPS Logistics, the world’s largest plastic pallet rental company. He also held key roles at Teph Seal Auto Appearance, CHEP and PepsiCo. 
   
   
Robert Sappio, chief executive officer of SeaCube Container Leasing Ltd., announced Wednesday that Greg Tuthill had been hired as chief commercial officer to drive strategic global growth. 
   
Most recently, Tuthill, who has 30 years of industry experience, served as senior vice president and chief operating officer for CMA CGM America. He began his career in 1988 with American President Lines Ltd., followed by stints with APL, NYK Line and TOTE Logistics.
