Executive Moves: Lufthansa Cargo, USPack

Achim Martinka is named vice president for Germany and Dan Byrne is promoted to chief revenue officer.

Lufthansa Cargo announced that Achim Martinka (pictured above) has been named vice president for Germany.
Martinka, previously the head of the One Cargo project, succeeds J. Florian Pfaff, who took over as vice president of Asia Pacific on June 1.
Martinka began his career with Lufthansa Cargo in 2000 as senior manger of global accounts. After various positions in Europe, he moved to Atlanta in 2010 as vice president of the Americas. He was named vice president of Europe and Africa in 2016. Since 2017, Martinka has been responsible for One Cargo, a project aimed at strengthening the cooperation between SwissWorldCargo and Lufthansa Cargo.

Same-day, final-mile delivery company USPack has promoted Dan Byrne to chief revenue officer.
“As more brands rely on store-to-store deliveries with a great customer experience, Dan Byrne’s leadership has guided the company’s solutions to match and exceed the market needs,” the announcement from USPack, a NewSpring Holdings company, said.
Byrne will continue to be responsible for driving revenue growth and assumes oversight of account management. As a member of the executive leadership team, he will continue providing growth-focused strategic direction in support of USPack’s logistics solutions and industry verticals.
He previously served as vice president of business development and focused on pioneering new delivery solutions to build USPack’s revenue stream.
USPack CEO Mark Glazman said Byrne “possesses the strategic, technology-forward thinking and skill set our business needs to continue expanding the reach of our final-mile delivery solutions. He has been instrumental in growing USPack’s nationwide delivery network and helping businesses meet their customers’ increasingly sophisticated logistics demands.”
