Executive Moves: Martin Bencher Group, JLL, Trax Technologies, National Tank Truck Carriers and NationaLease

Martin Bencher Group and Trax Technologies appoint COOs, while JLL hires global infrastructure advisor, National Tank Truck Carriers names VP of marketing and NationaLease picks business development manager.

   Martin Bencher Group has appointed Jorgen Hougaard to chief operating officer, based in Aarhus, Denmark. He most recently served as vice president of global renewables projects at DSV and before that was a partner at Baltship.

   Commercial real estate investment consultant JLL has hired global infrastructure advisor Walter Kemmsies, Ph.D., as Managing Director, Economist and Chief Strategist for the U.S. Ports, Airports and Global Infrastructure Group. Kemmsies was previously the Chief Economist for global infrastructure advisement firm Moffat & Nichol. Prior to working with Moffatt & Nichol, Kemmsies was the Head of European Strategy at JP Morgan in London and, earlier, Head of Global Industry Strategy at UBS in Zurich and London.
   An advisor to the U.S. Department of Commerce Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness and the Department of Transportation’s National Task Force on Transportation Infrastructure Valuation, Kemmsies regularly contributes to the Federal Reserve’s Survey of Professional Forecasters, is a member of various professional associations and publishes a regular industry outlook column in American Shipper.

   Trax Technologies has named Don Baptiste chief operating officer. He was previously the co-founder and head of Bloomberg Government, where he was responsible for the business unit’s launch and growth. Prior to that, Baptiste handled consulting engagements for McKinsey & Co. Scott Nelson, the company’s founder and former CEO, will continue with Trax as vice chairman.

   The National Tank Truck Carriers has named Ryan Streblow senior vice president of sales and marketing. He previously worked at the Allied Committee for the Trucking Industry which supports several trucking associations including NTTC, American Trucking Associations, Truckload Carriers Association, and others.

   Truck leasing company NationaLease has appointed Travis Yeomans business development manager for national accounts. Yeomans comes to NationaLease from International Display Consortium and has also held management positions at CareerBuilder, Half Off Depot, and The Atlanta Journal Constitution.
