Executive Moves: Norfolk Southern and Momentum Transportation

Norfolk Southern names new marketing chief, while Momentum Transportation appoints operations VP.

   Norfolk Southern Corp. has appointed Alan H. Shaw to executive vice president and chief marketing officer. He succeeds Donald W. Seale, who retired after 39 years in management positions in NS’s marketing division. Shaw joined NS in 1994 and has held positions in the finance and marketing departments. He served as group vice president of coal marketing and group vice president for chemicals before being named vice president of intermodal operations, his current position, in 2013.

   Momentum Transportation USA Inc., a subsidiary of Landstar, has named Randy Moore vice president of operations, effective July 6. Moore spent 31 years in the Navy and then served as a senior logistics project manager for Fluor Government Group and as operations manager for Amazon.
