Executive Moves: ProTrans and GTMaritime

Gary Cardenas is named CEO; Mike McNally is appointed as sales and marketing director.

ProTrans International Inc. owner and founder Craig Roeder announced that Gary Cardenas (pictured above left) has succeeded him as CEO of the company.
Roeder remains on the board of directors and serves as strategic project manager.
Cardenas joined ProTrans International in 1996 as a business development manager, quickly becoming director of sales and then vice president of sales and marketing before leaving in 2009 to become founder, owner and president of TOC Logistics International Inc.
In 2017, he returned to serve as president of ProTrans International, integrating TOC Logistics into the ProTrans Holdings operations.

Maritime software specialist GTMaritime has appointed Mike McNally (pictured above right) as sales and marketing director and and announced it has established its first office in the United States in Houston.
McNally began his career at sea working on offshore tugs and commercial fishing vessels before becoming a deck officer on Getty product tankers.
He later spent two decades with Global Wireless, until it was taken over by Inmarsat. Inmarsat retained McNally to manage maritime distribution partners for its new Global Xpress service and he ultimately became vice president of sales for America. For the last three years, he was managing director for Telemar USA and oversaw its merger into Marlink.
“Over the years I’ve worked with Mike in various positions, so I’ve witnessed the tenacity and strategic vision he can bring to a team firsthand,” said GTMaritime CEO Robert Kenworthy. “His wealth of experience in the maritime satellite market will be invaluable in driving GTMaritime’s continued growth.”
