Executive Moves: Swissport, Scoular Co., Saddle Creek, Purolator, and CPG

Swissport, Scoular Co., Saddle Creek, Purolator, and CPG announce executive and director appointments.

   Swissport International Ltd. has named Eric Born as group president and chief executive officer, effective Aug. 1. He will succeed Per H. Utnegaard, who will become vice chairman. Prior to joining Swissport, Born spent six years at Wincanton Plc, a U.K. logistics company. He joined Wincanton in 2009 as chief operating officer before he was promoted to CEO in 2010. He had also held management positions at Gategroup and John Menzies.

   The Scoular Co. has appointed Richard A. Cogdill to chief financial officer. Prior to joining Scoular, Cogdill had an extensive career in finance and agribusiness that included 18 years with poultry producer Pilgrim’s Pride.   

   Saddle Creek Logistics Services has hired Eric Drabiuk as director of business development. Based in Maryland, Drabiuk will focus on expanding Saddle Creek’s contract packaging business. Before joining the company, he was director for Quality Packaging Specialists International, and held earlier management positions at TimBar Packaging and international Paper.

   Purolator International has appointed Bruce Roberts as its Los Angeles-based western district sales manager. He will oversee the company’s branch offices in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Denver, Phoenix and San Diego. Over the past 20 years, Roberts worked for Panther Expedited Services, AFC Worldwide Express and most recently as a principle at the Los Angeles-based BCG Advisory Group.

   ContainerPort Group has hired Lisa McCaffrey as regional business development manager for the Ohio Valley, a region covering Detroit, Columbus, Cincinnati and Louisville. She joins CPG from parent company World Shipping.
