Executive Moves: Telenor and IANA

Chief executive officer appointed and board of directors elected.

Lars Erik Lunøe has been hired as CEO of Norway-headquartered Telenor Maritme, effective Feb. 1.
He most recently headed the U.K.-based Survitec Fire Solutions as managing director.
Knut Fjellheim, who has served as interim CEO, will return to his role as chief technology officer of Telenor Maritime.
Lunøe called Telenor Maritime “a growth company leading the evolution of secure connectivity at sea.”
“We are in fact providing this in one digital ecosystem, with solutions permitting the same quality of experience at sea as on land, increasing profitability through operational excellence,” Lunøe said.
“We will guide the ship owners through unchartered waters of disruptive technology to unleash opportunities within IoT, cyber-physical systems, cloud and cognitive computing,” he said.

Kevin Lhotak, president of Reliable Transportation Specialists Inc., was elected chairman of the 2019 board of directors of the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA).
A longtime IANA member, Lhotak has served as the association treasurer and chaired its operations committee. He also is a member of the boards of the North American Chassis Pool Cooperative and the Intermodal Motor Carriers Conference of the American Trucking Associations.
Other officers are Vice Chairman Jon Poelma, president and COO of Consolidated Chassis Management LLC, and Treasurer Derrick Broome, vice president of intermodal at C.A.T. Global Corp.
Two new members also were elected to serve three-year terms on the board. Joseph R. Tovo III of DNJ Intermodal Services will represent the motor carrier division, and Noel Hacegaba of the Port of Long Beach will represent the marine division.
In addition, Thomas Williams of BNSF Railway was re-elected to represent the rail division.
